VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are an essential part of our swim team.  We require that each swimmer's parent/guardian assist with volunteering for a minimum of 2 swim meets, in addition to help from ALL parents and swimmers at our Second Annual Need for Speed Invitational on Sunday June 26, 2011.  Swim meets require many volunteers to run smoothly.  A home swim meet lasts approximately 2 hours and requires 16 volunteer positions to be filled, not including time spent to set-up and take down necessary equipment.  This year we will  host 3 home meets and travel to three away meets.  All revenues generated from registration fees, as well as our home swim meet "Bake Sale Table" are used to pay for coaches salaries, individual swimmers awards, and outstanding achievement awards in all age groups.  Awards are given at our annual swim team picnic which is traditionally held in August.
